The Boston Celtics will face the Miami Heat in the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs, following the Heat's victory over the Chicago Bulls in their second game of the play-in tournament on May 30, 2023.
Heat Continue Impressive Playoff Run
The Heat have been one of the hottest teams in the NBA since the All-Star break, and their victory over the Bulls extended their winning streak to six games. Jimmy Butler led the way for Miami with 28 points, while Bam Adebayo added 18 points and 10 rebounds. The Heat's defense was also impressive, holding the Bulls to just 84 points.
The Celtics, meanwhile, finished the regular season with the league's best record and will be looking to make a deep playoff run. The two teams met three times during the regular season, with the Celtics winning two of those matchups.
The Celtics-Heat series is set to begin on Sunday, May 30, at TD Garden in Boston.
